In many process operations the removal of entrained material in vapour flows is essential. Metal Wire Mesh Demister units is suitable for any application. The principle of demister operation is based on having a large number of obstacles intercepting entrained droplets in a vapour flow. This large number of obstacles must provide minimum drop in pressure over the removal system.
The working principle as follows:
When the foam with the fog rising at a rate of gas through a certain screen, due to the inertia of the role of fog rising foam, foam will collide with screen's surface and attach to the its surface. When foam slowly forming a big droplet, the larger droplets to form fog foam flow along the filament between two wire junction points. Finally, once droplets weight exceeds its weight & gas liquid surface tension, droplets separated from the filaments.
