Plastic Igel Ball
Igel Ball is usually employed via a wet/dry or trickle filter. A wet/dry or trickle filter is a system in which water is allowed to pass over the Igel Ball where beneficial bacteria grows and interacts with toxic ammonia to produce less harmful nitrate. This" Trickle effect" increase dissolved oxygen levels in the pond or aquarium and cleans or filters water as the Igel balls combine with organic waste to dissolve it.
Igel Ball is also used in hatcheries, tropical fish farms. Waste water treatment and other commercial & industrial fish farm system.
Main features: Adopting environmental plastic material with many specifications. All bio balls have wide surfaces for nitrifying bacteria to grow. It can help to establish the most complete and balanced system for biological filtration and can be used in both fresh and marine water tanks filtering biologically in both sea water tanks and fresh water tanks.
Possible applications: Absorption of reaction gases and conditioning of acids aerosols (e.g. HCl or SO3) in the chemical industry. Packed bed material in scrubbers for the flue gas treatment of solid and/or liquid waste incinerators. Absorption of halogenes and SO2 and conditioning of particulates. Aqueous or chemisorptive absorption of odours in domestic and/or industrial waste water treatment plants. Conditioning of particulates or dust in front of a subsequent, specific gas treatment step.
