In our actual application, when gas flows upward, liquid will flow downward along with arc channel.This Movement way will directly reduce wall flow's happening. However, Arched external frame also cause overlapping & bridging.Therefore, scientists change two ends into rectangle type contact surface. Plastic Intalox Saddle ring prevents the packing from interlocking or entangling, ensuring the randomness and optimum surface area within the packed bed, while the internal fingers, arches and vanes promote optimum interfacial gas/liquid contact with minimal drag or hold-up.
