Description of Moving Bed Bio-film Reactor:
1. Cooling-1st Clarifier-Anaerobic Biological Treatment-Aerobic Biological Treatment-2nd Clarifier
2. Coagulant such as PAC & PAM shall be dosed to react with the suspended solids of the effluents to form cloudy matters then most of the suspended solids, color, organic matters shall be settle down as sludge in the clarifier.
3. Anaerobic Biological Treatment Tank-The anaerobic bacteria will decompose the large molecules of the organic matters into simple small molecules which shall be further decompose in the aerobic
biological process.
4. Aerobic Biological Treatment Tank-The aerobic bacteria shall break down the organic matter further into water & carbon dioxide, lower the parameters COD, BOD5. The advantage of using Biological Media including no excessive or insufficient activated sludge, simple to run, large tolerance in loading, steady outgoing treatment quality etc.
5. 2nd Clarifier-this process is to settle down the excessive biological media

Bio tower packing is designed in such a way as to give more surface area for bacteria to grow on its surface. It also & aids in effective treatment of water / effluent.
In olden days, pebbles were used in water treatment. But pebbles make the water treatment plant very heavy. So the plastic bio tower packing gives more surface area at much lesser weight making the plant much lighter & more economical in cost to manufacture.
