BX type Metal Wire Gauze Packing has a high specific surface area, at the same time, because of the unique capillary effect of the mesh, the packing surface has better wettability, so it has a high separation efficiency. Compared with other types of packing, it has lower pressure drop and less liquid holding, and is especially suitable for materials hard to separate and heat sensitive systems. The main materials for making wire gauze packing are stainless steel, copper, aluminum, iron, nickel, etc. According to the specific surface area, the wire mesh packing can be divided into 250 type, 500 type and 700 type. Because the wire mesh packing belongs to the type of liquid film mass transfer, the key to maintain high separation efficiency is to make holes in the corrugated packing sheet or to make a double-layer wire mesh packing to strengthen the uniform distribution of liquid on the wire mesh corrugated sheet, especially when the spray density is low.
