Igel Ball is used primarily to facilitate the growth of beneficial bacteria in pond filters, fish farm, and aquariu.A wet/dry or trickle filter is a system in which water is allowed to pass over the Igel Ball where beneficial bacteria grows and interacts with toxic ammonia to produce less harmful nitrate. This" Trickle effect" increase dissolved oxygen levels in the pond or aquarium and cleans or filters water as the Igel balls combine with organic waste to dissolve it.
